Networking a Mac Mini and a PC

I just bought a Mac mini and have it hooked via a KVM switch to my PC. I'd like to network the two and share an ADSL line. I have a D-Link DI 524 wireless router. What is the smart way to do this. Eventually I would like to share the printer too. Many thanks.

If the router is close to the mini (and has free internal interfaces), plug in. If not, attach wirelessly.
