For the last couple days I've been trying to find a way to mount a hard drive over a network to access through the iPhone. To make a long story short, I have an inverter, an old PC and a router, and I want more then 8GB for music when I'm in my car :p. If I can access a hard drive, I can create a symbolic link to an alternative ipod folder on the computer when I have access to the network, and simply destroy it when I don't.

Any ideas? I'm using Ubuntu Linux with ext3 if that helps.
