Hi,

I am almost iminently about to set up a network wirelessly from my room, which will consist of a Dell Dimension 8400 and a 24" iMac. I have been thinking about this for some time, and I know it sounds like a retarded question but is it possible to transfer all the VERY VERY important documents such as CV's and general work from the Peecee to the iMac and keep them safe whilst reinstalling Windows XP (just to be sure), and then back again without data loss?

Forgive me, I am a new Mac user. :) And loving every minute of it.

Yeah, you can use your iMac to keep your PC's backed up files on, if there's enough room. I wouldn't use the wireless network to transfer the data though, because it'll be terribly slow. Either use an intermediate media such as an external disk, an iPod or CDs, or connect the machines with an ethernet cable and network them that way. :)
