Total Mac newbie here! Just fired up my MacBook Air for the first time today. Trying to get a shared file from my old PC to show up on it, but having no luck. I am running two other Vista PCs on the same network. I have a file of pictures I set to share on one of them. I can see that file on the other PC, but when I access the first PC from the Mac, I can't see it. I can see the PC on the Mac, but can't see the shared file. I can see the PCs Pictures, Downloads, Music, etc. folder, but not the one I specifically set to share. I even moved the folder to the Pictures folder hoping it would show up there, but no such luck. What am I missing?

Thanks!

UPDATE: I have found that if I am on facebook and go to upload photos I can in fact see that file on the network. But, I can't access it from the Finder or from iPhoto. Strange!

On the Mac, got to "Go" (at the top) > "Connect to Server..."

Type in:

smb://name-of-pc/sharename

Share name is the name of the folder you have shared containing the pictures.

Hope this helps.
