Networking PC-->iMac

Right, just moved from PC into the light. Still got PC running a lot of bits and pieces I need. Just wired up a wireless Netgear modem and ethernet connection, with the PC now ethernet'ed upto the modem, and iMac running wireless. However, surely now they're running off the same modem I should be able to network them? Or can I? Any thoughts appreciated

In the Finder, hit ⌘-K to search for and connect to your PC. 9 times out of 10, this works fine.
