I hope someone can help me here. I used to network my two cMPs. I just used the Apple connect. But now I have another nMP and I’d like to network all three. I’m thinking the 7,1 has security protocols with Catalina that makes it very difficult? But all three Macs are different OSes - Catalina, Mojave and High Sierra. I haven’t been able to figure it out. I thought instead of wasting another whole day I’d ask. Maybe someone can put me out of my misery. I did get a software networking program awhile ago. It seemed clunkier than just using screen connect.

I can connect the older MP to each other or the 7,1 can see the high Sierra MP but not the other.

Not sure about some of your terminology ("Apple Connect", "software networking program", "screen connect"), but to do any file sharing or screen sharing on any Mac, you need to go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Sharing, then choose the type of sharing you want to enable, along w/ its settings. Then on the other machine(s), go to Finder > Network, and locate the Mac you want to connect to, and choose either Screen Sharing or Connect As via buttons at the top of the window.

HTH,
Fred

That’s probably it. I was in bed. Sorry for the wrong terminology. I couldn’t remember. I’ll give this a shot.
