iPhone 14 Pro Max Never had an esim - iPhone 14 keeps asking me to set up esim.

I set up a new 14 from my old 13 and the 14 keeps asking to set up esim - message saying 'finish setting up mobile service' and when clicked asks to set up esim. I never had an esim on old or new phone. The phone was bought in Portugal, Europe. I don't think my carrier even offers esims.How can I tell the 14 to forget about the esim reminder? Thanks​

Did you buy your iPhone in the US? If so, it is eSIM only and you'll need to activate eSIM. There is no longer a physical sim card slot.

Was this resolved as I’m having the same issue. Have given my wife my iPhone 13 and during setup up its asking me to set up an edit even though there’s a SIM card installed.

I’ve not found a fix. I reckon a complete restore from the cloud with SIM card inserted at the start might work. I think I put the sim in midway thru the 14 getting updated from the 13. Also 13 now erased so have to use cloud backup
