This is the second time I see such.

None of my music on iPhone is listed in music app, nor any other apps relying on stock music app to work.

Before that, I do a sync between my phone and iTunes under Windows.

Such disappearance has no reason and I don't know what it goes on.

All I can do is not to let Windows iTunes touch my iOS devices before iOS 9 goes publicly available.

"Never let iTunes" <----- You could have stopped there.

I have installed iOS 9 Beta 5 and no matter what songs I put on my iPhone, I don't see them. I have a Mac and the latest iTunes.

iTunes is a dreaded mess and needs to be rewritten once for all. Eddy Cue should be fired for all the mistakes he made in the last 3 years. They fired Forstall for much less than this.

Can you describe what you are seeing? My iTunes library and what is on my phone are perfectly in sync with each other. The only "gotcha" to look out for is that compilations are stored separately from Artists, Albums and Genres. You will not see a "various artists" artist but will see an album under compilations.

I believe its just iOS 9 Beta 5. On Beta 4 I could sync my music no problem. Now with Beta 5 I cant. Maybe they broke the internals on how music is stored. I sync all my music (4 GB) to my iPhone 5S and it stations it in the other Cat.

Oh my gosh, you just saved my life with this. I had been slaving for weeks trying to figure out why a bunch of my various artists albums were not showing up in my music anymore. Wow, that is one big frustration I can put to rest, thanks so much

If I sync and stop midway, I'll see functional songs that I have and the ones that have not been copied yet, grayed out. If I complete the sync, the Music App becomes empty, and at this point my iPhone shows that it's loaded with 30GB of "Other" in iTunes, so it tries to put the songs back, and fills my iPhone capacity...

I've owned an iPod touch, a 3GS, and an iPhone 5 in the last 7 years, and syncing has never worked fine on the first try for me. I did many restores, always finding myself with different problems.

I found for a while, since I have iTunes Match, that if there's a playlist of songs that Match can't find, that playlist is deleted but the songs remain on my iTunes library, they just don't sync. Also, none of my music syncs in the right track order as i have them in iTunes. It syncs fine to my iPod classic but not over the cloud.

Going back to the iPhone 3GS days the most trouble I had was correcting the ID tags on songs I had accumulated. As a rule of thumb you shouldn't interrupt a sync. Weird things happen.

Even if there are issues with syncing music all I do is uncheck the "sync music" box in itunes, let it remove all songs from my phone and then resync everything again. At times you will get a gigantic "other" usage (which I think is deleted songs that are still taking up space). In that scenario I just back my phone up and restore it right there and it gets rid of that problem as well.

Problem is, my iPhone 5 is 64 GB and works with Lightning, which means USB 2. I don't always have an hour in front of me to re-sync the whole thing, and that is if the sync goes well.

I formatted it 6 times this week-end, and I had 6 different problems. Can you believe that? (okay, 2 of these MIGHT be due to iOS 9 Beta 5, the 4 other times it was iOS 8.4.1)

How much music are you actually syncing? I sync like 8GB and it takes like 5-10min tops.

I have around 30 GB. I know it's theoretically done in 10 minutes on USB 2, but practice told me it took an hour to fill in my 64 GB device.

The issue I've been seeing since iOS 8.4 and the new Music app were introduced is my album artwork not syncing. I'm really particular (not OCD, mind you) about keeping my library clean, organized and fully loaded with information and it drives me nuts that my album artwork is showing in iTunes just fine but not on my iPhone. It's worse when I get in my car because the beautiful display that used to show the artwork is now blank.
