While I was trying out Path Finder 10 today, I was playing around the default layout and see what I could do to make listing looks better and more readable for my ageing eyes. Then I found this gem.

All texts on that label are actually readable, and the icon detail is surprisingly high.
I have no idea who created this icon back then but kudos to the guy who created this little piece of art. Such detail of attention is getting harder and harder to find nowadays. It's just amazing.
Today macOS Monterey surprised me quite a bit, in a pleasant way. Wow.

That's not really new. :) This detailed hard disk icon is also present, albeit in a different style, in Mac OS X v10.6 "Snow Leopard" (2009). I'd have to check if it's also that detailed in even older versions.

Another two examples (ClippingText):

And my personal favourite, the icon representing a PC on the network. The font used for the BSOD isn't the normal (IBM PC VGA) one, but the one VMware uses for text mode, suggesting that the BSOD used for the icon was triggered in a VM.

Wow, love that icon. Such high detail. And seeing that hard drive icon in such high detail is new to me. :)

So here's the original style hard disk icon:

And here's the original style icon for Notes:

And here's the original style icon for Stickies:

And here's the original style icon for System Information:

And here's the original style icon for TextEdit:

Now that is what I call attention to detail.
