I received my new 12.9 M1 IPAD Pro with Mini LED, 256 GB yesterday. I previously had a 2nd Generation 12.9 IPAD Pro, 64 GB, which I traded in to apply toward the cost of the new IPAD. What a difference! The screen is unbelievable! It's also very responsive and very attractive. It's hard getting used to the face-id and the swipe up, but I'm getting there.

Good to hear that you're enjoying your new device. In addition to all the things you mentioned, I really love leaving lots of apps and Safari tabs open - and they are all still there the next day.

I have this same issue on my 11" 2020 model. The only true usability problem with it is that it's difficult to double click to confirm purchases. Other than that, it's just a little annoying sometimes.

I must say, I am liking the M1 12.9 iPad Pro alot more than I expected. It is more like a “quality of life” update rather than a necessary upgrade as my previous 12.9 iPad Pro can run the same apps. But it just simply a better experience that leads me to use this iPad Pro alot more than the previous one.

Hardware wise, the M1 12.9 iPad Pro is superior to the M1 MacBook Pro. It is just a shame that it cannot do everything software wise.

Go download the game Divinity Originl Sin 2 if you want to see an amazing game that fully utilizes the power of the new iPad Pros.

I upgraded from a 2018 12.9". I wouldn't say the upgrade was mind-blowing, but videos look MUCH better and I actually enjoy the iPadOS 15 updates.

As someone who primarily uses iPads, I'm not looking to radical changes to the OS like others have been pining for. The incremental upgrades are what keeps my usage fresh enough to keep my iPad as my primary device.
