Aloha everyone,

I just received my new 16" MBP/M1 Pro/32GB RAM, and after setting itup I wanted to load up Xcode, even though I'm not a developer (I was in the past). Attached are two screenshots from the attempted install - it appears to start, but really doesn't do much. make a gander at the pics and let me know if anyone else has had this issue. I can not go to Apple's developer portal, as I'm not a developer, so he App Store is really me only option. thanks for any and all responses.

How long have you been waiting that screenshot shows it’s downloading, I think the whole package is about 10GB so it’s going to take a while.

I just updated Xcode on my 13" m1 last night. It took well over an hour or two to fully complete installation. Even once it looks like it's most of the way downloaded it takes it a while to finish the installation. After installation was done and it was running fine, the installd process was stuck using over 2G of memory so I rebooted to clear that up.

Well, it's 1331 now, and it's not quite done yet. It's getting there, though; maybe another couple of hours will do it.
