New 17" Hi-Res SR MBP and photography?

Well, I have been reading a few threads about the new high resolution SR MBP. I'm curious if any of the photography fans on MR have their hands on one and how is it regarding speed with Aperture and Photoshop? How is the hi-res screen for viewing and editing photos? I'm considering one myself and just looking for some input.

BTW, I am currently running a 2Ghz CD MBP.

The guy I'm doing an internship had one of these at a shoot on Tuesday. I didn't get to play around with it much, but PhotoMechanic flew. He was opening 12MP RAW files from a D2Xs in less than half of a second. Also, the screen was breathtaking. That said, I don't know how much 64 bit will help you if you aren't shooting giant RAW files on a pro camera.
