Hi there,
I just got a new 17" SR MBP today. It is fantastic. The screen quality is incredible... the high resolution is amazing. I'm very happy with it.
Thus far, I have only come across two problems. The first is that the LCD seems to be pinched very slightly in the bottom left corner, distorting the picture such that the corner is slightly darker than the rest of the screen. It is very slight, and very small. My question is, will it get worse, or will it stay the same for the life span of this MBP?
Second, my FW400 port appears to be very loose. When I first plugged in a device to the port, it didn't seem to connect at all. After about the fourth try, my external harddrive finally showed up in Mac OS. Now the port seems to be working, but it still feels kinda shoddy when I plug something in. Should I just count my blessings and be happy with my MBP, or is this the type of problem that could end up with me having a nonfunctional FW400 port?
Thanks all!
(btw, this machine really is great.)
