This is great, but unfortunately, the biggest problem for people like me is the cost, just like SSDs now. I would love to have an SSD. Just too darn expensive.

It is new technology. When it is mass produced, the costs will be lower per GB than today's fastest SSDs. It is great information, but it's not yet relevant for us. In 2012, we will all be talking about an MBA with 256 GB SSD in low-end and 512 GB SSD in high-end model.

Same thing with OLED displays. Sure they're expensive without mass production, but I believe the MBA could get one with its next form factor revision. When mass produced, they will not cost much more than a standard LED/LCD.

I cannot wait for these technologies to catch up with us...

the punchline here is "...in a couple of years"
A couple of years ago LCD monitors cost a ton. Now my 19" LCD isn't worth forty bucks. It's not so much the punchline as the constant reality of technology.
