New 2.93, no HD's ?

My new 2.93, i7 w/2TB+ 256SSD, upon start-up and restart, no hard drives show up on my desktop. Did I forget to do something?
 
Open Finder, hold down Command and press comma -- check the box next the hard drives and they will show up on your desktop.
