I am looking for suggestions for a new monitor for my Mini, I had a Gateway 22" which was really nice just that now I need a 24" to replace it, what does everyone recommend

The 24" Dell are UltraSharps are Nice. I love my Acer 22". Had it about 6 months. We have Acers at work. All 19" 4:3. Our IT guys are amazed at how reliable they have been.

Lots of people like Samsungs too.

i want one but don't have any $:

"Dell Small Business offers the Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor for $439. Apply coupon code "WKF35JP9FR9BLQ" to drop it to $395.10. With free shipping, that ties a deal from last month for the best total price we've seen on this display. Sales tax is added where applicable. The 2408WFP sports a native resolution of 1920x1200, 3,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 6ms response time, has a tilt and swivel mount, plus one upstream and four downstream USB ports. It also features one HDMI, two DVI-D with HDCP, DisplayPort, component, VGA, and other video inputs."

HP LP2475W has a good reputation.

Apparently a better panel but not as good looking as the Dell 2408.

If you want to pay the premium (i think its a rip off) then the Apple cinema display will pair up nicely with your mini.

But, for real value and a selection of different connections the dell 24" is unbeatable. plus if you ever get a new computer you can connect it easily without buying adapters.

personally, i have a samsung syncmaster 2493hm, its a full 1080p display with dvi, vga, hdmi, 10000:1 c-ratio and a 5ms response time. i love it.

$ is not an issue, however I looked at the 24 and 30 Displays at the Apple store, I still think they are overpriced, but the 24" if it were $500 I would buy it but not for $700-900 no way I can get two monitors for that kind of cash. I just looked at the HP 24" and the new Gateway they are nice and fairly cheap, I would consider the Dell but I have not been able to see one in person.

You can get the LED 24" for $499 refurbished which isn't quite as bad.

+1 for Samsung.

I also was looking at the Dell monitors and really liked them but ended up getting a SyncMaster T260 about a year ago (25.5", DVI, HDMI, etc) for less than the 24" Dell and am very happy with it. The newer 24" and 26" versions (T240HD and T260HD) are $305 and $375 respectively at Amazon.

Lucky you!

I'm still on a HP 15" TFT which my other half bought about 4 1/2yrs ago as a factory refurb.

Must say though, it may be getting a bit small, but its got no dead pixels, still working happily and even had DVI! :)

Hopefully Christmas will see me treating my mini to a better view of the world. but I expect more or the 19" variety.

I personally like the look of HP monitors. They have that semi-Apple look to them with the black bezel, speakers, etc. And they are pretty well priced.
