Hi Everyone,

I am asking for your opion on something, I was thinking about purchasing a 2006 mac pro with the following specs:
Two 3GHz dual-core Intel Xeon processors (quad-core total)
4GB AppleRam 667Mhz DDR2FB Dimm ECC with Heat Sinks (4 x 512MB + 2 x 1 GB (2-open slots))
ATI Radeon X1900XT 512 MB (2 x dual-link DVI) advanced graphics card
1 X 250GB 7200-rpm Serial ATA Hard Disk Drive
1 x 500GB 7200-rpm Serial ATA Hard Disk Drive
1 x SuperDrive
AirPort Extreme Wi-Fi Card
Mac Pro Power cord
Apple Keyboard
Mighty Mouse
DVI to VGA adapter
USB keyboard extension cable
Install/restore DVDs
Printed and electronic documentation.
AND 30" cinema display all for $2,700 (AUD)

but since apple just released their new iMacs im tempted to get one of those instead. What do you think would be a better choice (I would get the top of the line 27" iMac for AUD$2599 ). The only reason im stalling is because the hardware is 4 years old so i dont know if it would just be better to buy the newest imac .

I would be using it mainly for video editing and photoshop etc as well some 3D design. I would also be later purchasing a secondary monitor.

Thanks, Carmo92 :)
