new 2017 imac wont play my itunes

I had an old Imac with snow leopard on it and itunes that came with that computer and I never upgraded to new itunes or operating system.Just bought new 27 Imac and trying to move my 75GB of my own personal music from my old imac to new imac. Support said I can move my music over from old Itunes in my old Imac but my new Imac itunes will not play them. Will only play cds that I bought from itunes of which i bought none since my whole library is my own cds loaded into old itunes. Is this true and it there anyway around it?

This was totally wrong and Itunes plays fine.Cant believe support would tell me something like this and almost get me to return the Imac.
