I just received my 2020 27" iMac and set it up. I migrated from my 2015 27" iMac with no problem.

The new iMac said it wanted to install the 10.15.6 supplemental update to address an issue with the new iMac's display after waking up from sleep, so I went ahead and initiated the update.

After the usual update process of rebooting a couple of times, it settled down and I watched the thermometer fill up. The screen turned black, and a short while thereafter, the typical spinner gear appeared. That gear has been spinning now for about an hour, which strikes me as too long.

Do I just force reboot and hope for the best, or allow this to continue for hours longer in the hopes that it will finally finish? If I reboot, should I go into Recovery Mode and reinstall the OS?
