Hi guys,

I am new on the iPad. I bought a new iPadPro WIFI 256GB last week. It is interesting, that without even touching it, within 2 days the battery goes down from 80% to 68%. No, it is not in flight mode. Yes, it has a stable wifi connection (no big deal). No, I haven't installed any applications from the app store yet. It is kind of "fresh from factory". There were some Apple-Apps in the background (Freeform, Pages, Safari) and one from 3rd party (Disney+). I also own the new PencilPro which isn't connected to the iPad surface.

Best

My 13” iPad Pro seems to use a lot of battery off AND on, but I’m also coming from a M1 MacBook Pro that had a fantastic battery. I do understand the trade-off for thinness, but, this battery takes me back to 2010 macbooks.

I have found a solution for this on all my iPads (I have an 12.9" M1 and 11" M2 and an iPad mini 6) which all go down in battery overnight - turn on Airplane mode when i go to sleep, then the next day turn Airplane mode off. This turns off all the background processing which isn't needed when we are asleep.
