I am hoping someone can help me out. I am on my second new iMac after the first one developed a bad screen. Now this one after a week of use has problems burning DVD's. The problem started yesterday when I tried to burn a DVD-RW disc. The file failed everytime. So I tried a different file and it too failed to burn onto a different DVD-RW disc. Then I tried to burn a audio disc and it went ok. Now I am trying to burn a DVD-R and see it that works. Can anyone think of why my burner would no longer burn DVD's with toast? I have been burning DVD's since day one with no problems up until yesterday. I am using Toast 8 and have made no new configurations to my iMac since I bought it. Thanks in advance for any help.

UPDATE: So I just successfully burned a DVD-R with no problems. I tested it by burning the same file that the DVD-RW could not. Seems the problem is when the burning process gets toward the end on a DVD-RW it fails. Also it only seems to happen when burning a full disc. Anyone know why this would just now start to happen? I feel like another trip to the genuis bar is coming....

I am using Sony DVD-RW discs. They are about 2 years old and maybe they are just getting old but seems weird that all of a sudden it does not like 2 of them. I am trying to burn a third Sony DVD-RW right now.
