Hi People,
I got my new iMac today and it's pretty much perfect, except for one thing. I have a slight yellow tint in the center of the screen, and it gets worse towards the bottom. The top left corner is also brighter than the rest of the display.
It's such a shame because there's no dead pixel and no backlight bleeding. And even though I think the noise level is a bit more than I expected (the previous model was almost silent) it is certainly OK.
It would be a shame to return it since it's nearly perfect. But I know that this tint issue will bug me all the time. I calibrated the screen and it got a little better, but just a little.
Someone mentioned in the other "yellow screen issue" thread that it's condensation and that it will go away after a few hours. But I don't think this is the case here since it has been running for 6 hours now and there's no noticable change.
Do you think that it will get better over time or should I return it?
Oh, and by the way, this is the best keyboard ever made. I've wanted a standalone MacBook keyboard since I got my MB, and now the dream has come true. Absolutely fantastic.
