New 27" iMac - Sierra

Just received my new 27" 2017 iMac.

I ordered it 3 days b4 9/25 so obviously it is factory installed with macOS Sierra.

Any downside to immediately upgrading to High Sierra before I get goinmg personalizing?


Note: I have 512 SSD

None that I am aware of.

Make sure to do a full TM and Carbon Copy Cloner (or Super Duper) before upgrading.

No problems for me so far – I've used it with a few intensive apps since upgrading including Logic Pro X, Blender, Xcode, Motion, and Pixelmator.
