I bought it on black friday at an Apple retail store..
And the second day I bought it, under the sunlight, I can see a slight.. mark across from the left all the way to the right on the bottom of the iMac.
Did I miss something? Is this part of the design?

I'm not seeing it in this photo. Can you point it out better or take a different photo?

sorry for the scrubish photos
last one is best detailed.
right under the apple logo, going from left to right?
can you guys see it?

I see it but have no experience with iMac computers. I'm sure someone here will have an answer, but you can always go to an Apple store and compare and/or set up an appointment.

OK. Are you talking about the faint shade difference in the aluminum running diagonally? If so, it is probably just the way it was cut, polished and brushed. A minor cosmetic flaw, no big deal.

And what does a "cable sticking out" have to do with this?

Yes. Well, I guess you could be right.
This is only visible under sunlight anyways, I guess I'll put it at a different location with low sunlight so I'm not disappointed haha.

OR

Could I take it in and would they exchange it for a new one perhaps..?

It's hard to tell from the photo, but if its as bad as you say it is I would get it replaced, you paid what at least $1800 for that? Yeah, i'd want one I didn't have to hide.

If you're unhappy with it, I'm confident that Apple would swap it out for you since you just bought it the other day.

If it was me, I'd live with it rather than drag that big 'ol thing back to the store. It's too trivial in my opinion.
