Since I'm tired of waiting for the macbook pro, I decided I'd like to purchase a quad core i7 27 inch iMac, but of course there are issues with them as well with the display. With the story floating around that they had the issues resolved, I contacted an online reseller (no sales tax) since their site said "call for availability." I was told they are not selling any of the "problem" iMacs. Apple had delayed shipment to them until the issue was resolved and they are currently back ordered. They are due in March 12th.

Jut thought I'd pass that along.

I think the "fixed" iMacs they are referring to are already out from apple stores. And from what I have been reading, it is not even a solid fix. There seem to still be some getting out with yellow tinging or gray bars.

Resellers get their shipments later then the apple store so what they are getting on march 12 has already been selling directly from apple.
