Thx everyone for nice comments
@Peyton: I Have about 3 and a half years using Cinema, i used FormZ before that , and DenebaCad before that ( it means i have almost 10 years doing 3D modelling ) it takes some time to learn 3D properltly, maybe not so much as me. Cinema 4D is an excellent tool, have a smooth learning curve, its fun to use and powerfull at the same time, i recemend it for anyone who want to start in the 3d field.
about the time frame one the images ( the one u saw, "the mace" probably ) was made for a Speedmodelling challenge, so its not a tipical time frame for this. Since most of the images are for fun and personal projects, they took weeks or months to finished until the smallest details are ready, but it depends on each case.
if u need to know more about Cinema 4D, u can visit its developers website:
http://www.maxon.net
and if you need some learning support there are a lot of great forums such as:
http://www.c4dcafe.com ( great video-tutorials in this one)
http://www.3dattack.net
i hope this help you.
cheers,
Carlos
