Do we think the new 3G iPhone screen will be free from all the issue's that plagued the original one? i.e. negative black issue.

I ask because I was fortunate enough to get a perfect screen on my 1st gen iPhone, and the last thing I want is a naff one on the 3G version.

Were all the problems eventually ironed out?

They say it's the same screen - take from that what you will. Personally I'd wait until they're available, go to the store and run the screen tests at appleservedup.com on the display phone. If it looks OK, you're in business.
