New 3G tower Worcester MA

I just walked in from work and was about to check my email and noticed I had a 3G signal. thats not normal, I thought so I turned off the 3G and turned it back on.
Lo and behold the AT&T powered up the 3G tower which is literately in my back yard.

This should provide coverage for most of Eastern Worcester, the Worcester side of West Boylston and Most of Holden.

I wonder if the complete 3G link from Boston to Springfield is not available

I live close to downtown and have 5 bars only notice that when I wake the phone from sleep sometimes it will have 0-2 bars but then a few seconds later bounces to 5 bars.

I've been experiencing 5 bars of 3G in Worcester around the WPI area for the past month or so (when I upgraded from a 2G to 3GS iPhone, so maybe its been longer than that). It's nice.

What about 25-30 minutes outside of Worcester? Any news on when 3G is coming?

Yeah, I'm about 45ish minutes away from Worcester, in Deerfield, and would LOVE to not have to go to Northampton just for 3G...

i live in leominster and have not yet seen a 3g signal past route 12 in sterling although i have seen a trace here and there. I'll be getting home tonight and definitely checking.

Awesome! I drive up to Worcester every few weeks to visit my car club. It will be nice to have 3G up there.

The new 3G tower provides 3G just about to exit 5 on 190.

3G has been available in the Worcester area along 290 from Quinsig lake to Auburn.
From what I have been told
ATT will have new towers from Boston to just west of Springfield, from worcester to Providence along rt 146 corridor

Verizon will be adding/improving towers along the along the same routes but will be providing wider service away the major highways.

Both are readying for the 4G deployment

i wish they'd just come into leominster, i was excited to see this thread saying that there might be 3g when i got home tonight. But to my wonderful disappointment 3g is still not in leominster yet i wish they'd finally just come out with it edge is nice but I'm sick of having to rely on wifi so much out here.

Sometimes I get 3G signal at the Best Buy at Orchard Park. It only comes after 5PM and disappears when I go to work at 8AM so I wonder if their testing the area?
Hopefully they bring 3G to Leominster since I do a lot of video production there.

I noticed a few weeks ago i had 3G service at my cousins house in uxbridge, now if i could get service on 140 in Upton id be happy...
