If you don't know how to google and read instructions on how to unlock and iPhone. Then you shouldn't be unlocking it. Jailbreaking and unlocking are for competent people who know what they're doing, not the average user.

I have my 2G iPhone successfully unlocked and it gets notifications all the time. It's been working perfectly for a week.
