New Air actual use time!!!

Ok so i made a form a few weeks back wile on vacation. My BlackBook died so i ordered an Air (I only use it for school and vacations) So on vacation i could not do much because my Wifi did not like the Air or the Air did not like the WiFI whatever that issue is anyway.........I go it home and used it a few times to get Word on it and i used it in my room a bit.

So here is what i think:
~Ok so OMG this thing is amazing
I thought is would be slow and sluggish but not at all converting videos takes a bit of time but its not too bad.
~The Screen is beautiful
~Thicker than i thought
~Heavier than i thought
~Rubber "spacer" around screen is a nice touch
~Backlit keys look very good but i will probably never use that feature
~Start up Time is slow some times and fast in others
~Programs can take some time to load
~Remote disc is so much faster than i thought. works well
~shut down is instant
~Looks so good

Do you have any specific information on specific programs and their realistic load times? I'd be interested in stuff like Photoshop, Word (alternatively GIMP and OpenOffice, or iWork, depending on what you have installed).
Any problem with overheating (apart from when watching flash based internet content)? What's the highest system temperature you've had to date?

It'd be great if you could share your experience regarding the above (Thinking of possibly getting an Air in a year or so).

well word takes about 30-40 sec

as i said i only use it for school so i dont have Gimp on it but it doesn't get too hot i will have to get back to u with a specific temp

I saw it in the apple store and it looked thin but when i got it it seemed thicker

the at the rear "feet" it is very thick
