Last week I purchased the 13.3/1.86/4/128 Macbook Air. Compared to my 2008 15" Macbook Pro, the Air is so fast and light. I am loving my purchase. I do have a couple questions:

1) After loading all the files from my old Macbook Pro to it, I have about 80gb storage left. Does the available space in SSD have an impact on the speed? Right now the Air is super fast and I am loving it. But is there a general guide on how much available SSD space I should maintain to make sure the Air stays fast?

2) When I repair permission from the SSD, it does not seem to repair anything. There would a log detailing what got repaired. But if I run the repair permission again immediately, the same entries would appear again. What I have been doing is run the repair permission via the USB drive. When I do that, I can see that things actually got repaired as the same items did not appear again. Is my experience typical? If so, then what is the purpose of repair permission from the SSD?

Thanks!!

A lot of the items on the repair permission list will show up no matter how many times you run it. Don't worry about it. There's an Apple support topic about it somewhere. Those items won't affect anything.
