Picked up a new pair of wireless Air Pods today to replace pretty much dead Gen 1's, decent price.

Anyway, I don't recall this happening when I bought the first ones, I'm charging the case with Pods for the first time. Battery of the case when I unboxed it was at 1%...I expected that. The earbuds wen't to 100% pretty fast, but my charging case is so so slow to fully charge for the first time.

I was stuck at 74% for a while...maybe 20-30 min. Doesn't seem normal.

I'm using the authentic Apple cable and wall charger. I did do a complete set up again, changed cables with no real luck. Now using a QI charger..some progress in the past 25 min., the case % is at 79%. But wow, it's slow!!

Does the first time charge of the case take much longer than usual?? Again, I can't recall this being the case with my old Gen 1's, but it's been just over 2 years...and frankly I can't recall yesterday or even what day/month it is anymore. :p

Thanks!

--Updated--

Guess all is well...just took charging the case to 100% longer than expected. (Yeah I'm not a patient person..lol)

Connecting to the iPhone, Mac was a tad goofy...but I think I fixed that. The behavior of these are a little different than my Gen 1's, not sure why yet. But they work and it's just nice to listen to these again without the battery dropping 1-2% every 60-90 seconds :)
