My AirPods have started making a new sound effect when I take them both out of my ears and put them back in. It started today. Distinctly different. Same firmware version (3.72) and same version of iOS (10.3.3). Not sure how that's possible.

Anyone else get that?

Strange. The tone I hear when connected and in your ear is the same tone it has been from since I owned them in December.

How would you describe the tone you hear?

They now make a 5 note 'Doop Da Da Do Do' that's an exaggerated water drop kind of sound and gets slightly quieter at the end.

Worked it out. I had been using the left and right equally but for some reason the left was nearly flat while the right had plenty left.

I put them in the case to charge. The left jumped in % very quickly, then the tone went back to the regular 'da dum'.

Either the variation in the tone is to indicate an issue, low charge, or variation between the left and right.

That was my thinking. Must be a low charge indicator tone. Thanks for sharing.
