New Alblum from U2 automatically download to my iPhone / iPad

This morning I noticed that the New Alblum from the band U2 was automatically put onto my devices after the Event Yesterday.


Its great and all that they want to offer us stuff for free but I dont want things uploaded to my device and using my space without my knowledge.

The only reason I noticed it was because I was looking for my next Audiobook to listen to and I saw Music in my phone. I dont keep anything but books on my phone. So I knew that I didnt put that Album there.


Is there a setting that I should have turned off or is this just something apple is going to do as they please ?

Yes, go to iTunes in settings and turn off auto download for music.

Nice album though. You're missing out.

I already have automatic downloads for music turned off in my settings.

Its like Apple Over-rode it to put the U2 album on everybodys device.

I doubt it. The album might be listed but with clouds next to the tracks. Ie, not downloaded. Don't download them and they will disappear on October 13th.

Ohh, I see. I just opened the album and they all have a cloud icon to prompt you for download of the songs.


I guess just the Alblum art was put on our devices.

I tried to remove it with itunes but it does not show up under music and alblum so I guess Ill just wait like you said and hope it goes away.

I don't see this album in my playlist?? When I search for itin iTunes on my phone it says purchased??
