Thanks for the heads-up. This is definitely something to try. Is this download also for nMP ?

I have the Mac edition of the 7950 in my 2008 Mac Pro, a 2nd drive running Win 7.

I have always installed the "normal" Windows AMD drivers, and have never had any issues.
I have not installed the Omega drivers yet.
And, TBO, I don't want to have to install "special Boot Camp" drivers....

Has anyone installed the Omega drivers on a Sapphire 7950 Mac edition?

These seem to be the last non-Omega drivers.
Today the catalyst version I have (Drivers are 14.301.1001-140915a-176154C) wanted to download the new Omega drivers. Installation failed, because they seem to be unable to detect their hardware on Macs.

These are no special Bootcamp drivers, they just seem to be the last non-Omega drivers.
Omega drivers don't seem to be compatible with Mac hardware or the Mac Efi.

Okay, tnx.
Too bad this is happening now. Have to wait for Omega drivers to be compatible, I guess.

Alright!
So no issues there?

Then I wonder which cards have the issue with the Omega drivers. Just the ones in the nMP?

The nMP has issue because there is no PC version of D700, so the driver has no info about that card, and don't support it natively.

For 7950, even though it's a Mac Edition, there is no difficulty for Windows to identify it as a PC 7950, so full support by the new Omega driver.

Check.
Thanks a lot!

Actually, Omega drivers do work with D700s, after a small workaround posted in these forums, consisting of copying 2 files from the previous driver pack. The only drawback is that I've lost the FirePro Control Panel when I installed it. On the positive side, they seem to have a slight increase in DirectX performance.

In any case, AMD states in their page that Omega drivers do not officially support Apple Bootcamp (yet), no matter what the GPU is.
