New app: AR Ghost

Description:
Turn your iPhone 3GS into a ghost hunting device! Some researchers believe that ghosts and other paranormal activity emit high Electromagnetic Fields (EMF). The iPhone 3GS has the ability to detect these fields with it’s digital magnometer. AR Ghost takes these magnetic field readings and composes a visual representation of the paranormal.

Ghost hunters often use digital sound recorders to capture Electronic Voice Phenomenon, or EVP. These digital sound recorders can pick up sounds that you might not hear with your own ears, but can be heard upon playback later. AR Ghost uses the digital sound recording capabilities of the iPhone 3GS to provide real time playback of EVPs.

For best results, find a place that you can sit still while holding the device upright and pan your surroundings slowly. Headphones are recommended to more clearly hear any EVPs. Observe changes in the on-screen EMF meter and Thermometer to detect ghost activity. Be still and don’t be alarmed if some ghosts find your presence interesting...

The idea of this app is neat and I would have bought it except for one problem:

The "ghosts" on the screenshots are terrible. You could have at least put some more effort to make them look more realistic. I think it would have made the app all the more entertaining.

Thank you for the feedback, that is something that we're fixing in 1.1

Some of it was a bit rushed, we had the code in pretty good shape but were not completely finished with the artwork. We figured it would be better to just get it out there quickly when 3.1 was released. So hopefully in a few weeks we'll have a 1.1 update with a lot more polish.
