Just got my new air pods pro yesterday. Charged them up fully overnight and hit the trail this morning for my first run with them. Ran for just over and hour with the noise cancellation and transparency off the whole time. When I got done they were at 66%. Put them in the charger and it showed them charging at 15%......

Should I be worried or is it just because it’s brand new and the batteries need to be calibrated and cycled a couple of times?

Its a bug in the software.

A little tip, when you put them back in the case, wait for the light to go out before you start to close the case, and then maybe 3-4mm from when the close is nearly closed the light will come on again, wait till that goes away and finally close the case:) a bit of a faff but works for me:)

The battery levels will be accurate if you do this, and then we live in eternal hope of a firmware release to fix it :)

If you can resist checking the percentage left etc the experience can be more enjoyable. They are not reliable indicators and there are too many variations to notice and distract.

Its a different matter though if you find your airpods dead often without much use.

From my usage of the APP, i get 3.5 to 4 hrs of use. Mix of music at 50-60% vol. and calls.
ANC off and Transparency is always on.

Thanks! This seems to work. It’s not a big deal but a bit annoying. Hopefully it’s fixed eventually!

I’m an average marathon runner. So I average between 4-4.5 hours per marathon. I’m hoping these will last the whole way!! The main reason I got these is because I run nearly every day. So far after the first run I love them. I just hope the batteries hold up. I also purchased the Apple care for them because I’m sure at the end of two years the batteries will be shot and I can get them replaced.
