So Nexvio has done it again! They were the first to have video editing on the iPhone back in the 3GS days and although they may not be the first with video effects editing (HollywoodFX does this poorly), execution has been the best. I bought this app and the added effects are excellent! You get roughly 20 effects off the bat. Brightness, contrast, saturation, vibrance, and exposure are some of the manually adjustable effects that you can add. You can stack up to three filters on a single video. There are two more sets of effects (Vintage and ToyCam) you can buy via in app purchases for $0.99 each and each set has 12 effects. It even supports the iPhone 4 allowing exporting of 720p HD video to your camera roll, and it can also upload directly to YouTube from within the app although I have not tested the YouTube export feature to see how well this works. Apparently, it can upload a 720p HD video to YouTube as well.

Downside: rendering times be very long. For a 20 second video, it took about 5 or so minutes to render. Once again, Nexvio has thought ahead and allowed background rendering!

CinemaFX for Video - $1.99

In-app purchases:
ToyCam effects pack - $0.99
Vintage effects pack - $0.99

Wonderful idea, but I'm not so sure about the execution.

Had a 9 minute video I wanted to overlay 3 effects with. After letting it set for over 10 hours (slept through 8 of it), it was only around 60% completion. So, I deleted it.

That's real nice.

I bought ReelDirector when I had my iPad and used it ................ once.

It was just UNBELIEVABLE that you cannot preview your work.

It has to be rendered first, viewed and yep .......... if you want to make changes, you make the changes and render AGAIN.

And this app does things the same way

It shows you what your filters will look like on the preview picture above the filters without having to render. The filters will look the same throughout the video and you can use the bar below the preview to see stills of your video at various spots.
