So we recently purchased the new 1M Woven USB C charge cable from Apple. Much to our surprise when we went into the system report it was only charging at 60W vs the normal 96W (MacBook Pro 16in). Swapped the cable back to the original and it went back to 96W. We have to MBP at the house and both had the same response. Anyone out there had similar experience?*** update: even though the apple website shows compatibility, the box actually says *charges max of 60W!

If you purchased from the online Apple store then you should contact Apple to see about returning it. The online listing says nothing about it being limited to 60W.

Thanks for posting (and taking one for the team).

Yeah, if you're looking for a full-power charge, I'd return it if you can.

There's plenty of USB-C cables on Amazon and such that specify 60W (or more when capable of more), but if Apple doesn't specify on their website, that's an issue.

Should ask Apple, I know I have some USB-C cable limited 60w here (Oculus Quest 2) and I have some from Shargeek Storm2 battery bank capable 100w no problem.

Where can I find same info on my MBP to test mine?
Settings/General/About....scroll down to the "system report" button. Then look for "power" under "hardware" on the left side. Once you click on power scroll down to "AC charger information". Wattage (W): XX will be what your laptop has available
