I did the free trial thing when AM first came out. I was pretty disgusted with it, for my purposes, so I canceled (even before my 3 months were up). I'm considering trying out the new improved model. Will I be able to get a free trial again, or is it pay-only for me now?

Some services have a 12-13 month grace period where you can sign up again and get another free trial. Google and Amazon does this but I doubt Apple does this with there music as they give you 3 months free for any new person. Other services require promo deals.

That's what I figured based on what I saw in iTunes. Just checking. Based on what I've read about the bugs that still exist (bugs for my purposes, anyway), I will pass for now and check it again in a year.

What did you find 'disgusting'? Was there pornographic, violent, racist, sexist etc. content?
Anyway, you will have to pay, or use another 'free' provider. People would be switching providers endlessly to get music for nothing if providers would allow this kind of action.

I think "being disgusted" does not necessarily mean the same thing as finding something disgusting. It screwed up my library, and I took a lot of time to fix it so I was disgusted. Freakin' relax.
