Well being as bored as I am right now, I thought I would check out the "jobs" section of the Apple website, it appears they're starting to hire for a new Apple Store, in Winnipeg, Manitoba (Canada).

It appears they will be putting the location in Polo Park Shopping Centre.. I was expecting Portage Place for some reason. But if it's true, it's about darned time that an Apple Store is coming to Manitoba!

Well, that's good. First an announcement from Ikea, and now this:)
I haven't lived in Winnipeg for a long time,so I don't know much about Polo Park anymore. The one thing I can tell you is that the store will be BUSY. Apple just opened a store here in Edmonton, and it always busy.

Winnipeg's certainly changing, which is good unlike places like Brandon. I may be moving to Winnipeg soon, I'm in Brandon right now, where there is no certified Apple repair centre.

Well Polo Park has changed alot in the last two years, it went through an entire renovation, alot of the main stores moved around, and it expanded a decent amount, they're looking into potentially expanding into Winnipeg (Canadinns) Stadium in the future now, first the old barn, now the stadium. But Polo Park should be a decent choice for an Apple Store

I did the lunch walk at PP and looked for possibel spots. Yes that is a true Apple Geek ;) Since the Safeway is long gone maybe that area would suffice.
Its certainly big enough :) For anyone thats been away from Frost City, since the last 4 years, 5 Skateboard parks opened up ;)
As a avid skater and Apple Geek thats a big bonus :)

Great!

I have a problem with the trackpad button, power adapter and a crack on the case. My warranty runs out in sept. and I want these fixes. I am having a hard time finding a Certified Apple Repair Center in Winnipeg. :apple:
