New Apple TV hooked into system with no HDMI ports?

I would like to get the new apple TV. Problem is I have an old plasma "Enhanced Def" TV hooked into a Bose Lifestyle 28 system. Neither the TV nor the Bose system have HDMI ports. Is the new Apple TV going to be impossible without a TV upgrade?

I think HDMI is just like DVI. If your TV has DVI in you could try an adapter.

So if I connected a new Apple TV to a TV without a HDMI or DVI input, would I still be able to watch ripped DVDs because they are not protected by HDCP, or would the whole system be entirely unusable?

Any thoughts?

Most if not all dvd ripping software removes the protection so you should not have a problem.

My TV does not have a DVI connection either. Only thing I can think of is this little device called HDfury (check it out @ hdfury.com). Any thoughts?
