I'm guessing that's just on their menu.

So this is basically "hello world"? It'll be interesting to see where they can go with this.

1. Apple TV-friendly springboard for launching apps
2. mapping touch controls to the Apple TV remote

Dev Team just released ATV2 jailbreak. Its now out in the wild officially. Here:

How awesome that it's done, as I just got my new ATV2 in the mail today. Still, I'll be waiting until they actually start releasing some apps for it.

But +1 for Hulu Plus.

I have a PHP-capable light HTTP server, bind DNS server and a subversion server all running on my ATV2 now. And that's to say nothing of the pointlessness of links/lynx text web browsers and irssi IRC clients installed and running.

My point- there's plenty of good to go software for the ATV2 if you're into that sort of thing.
