I was ready to buy the new :apple:TV until I started reading these threads. The things that are bonuses to me are the new smaller size, the Netflix capability(Even though I can already do this with the Wii), and the new A4 prossessor. Mainly it's the new processor I like. The website made it sound like it's better for streaming purposes. I have a 40gig Gen1 :apple:TV and since I have a big video library all I do is stream from my computer. My current model seems so slow in loading "my" movies, tv shows, etc so the idea of better, faster streaming is appealing. Especially for just $99. Is that not a common opinion?

I like the 1st one more because of the ports, hard drive, and I like the silver more:D. I am surprised that it is still more expensive though.

PS: I'll buy your 1st gen 40 gb from you if you get a new one :)

One of the biggest draws about the new Apple TV is that it should provide a much quicker and smoother menu experience.

I pre-ordered a new ATV based on all the above mentioned pluses, A4 processor, better streaming, smaller enclosure.

However i'm now starting to have doubts, purely due to one sole reason, having all my content stored under the 'computers' tab instead of my movies, my tv shows etc.

i'm gonna wait until i have it as it might just be that once in the 'computers' tab its partioned into movies and TV shows sections, in which case all is good, however if its all crammed into one giant list, thats not acceptable.

It's odd, it's almost as if for the last 10+ years Steve Jobs has been trumpeting on to us about storing all our media onto our computers, how its the future etc, and all of a sudden he's turned round and siad "f%$* that stuff, rent it from us instead!"
