Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7E18 Safari/528.16)

The iPad has given me a new appreciation for the iPhone. After using an iPad for a few hours, the iPhone seems really tiny, but not in a bad way. The amount of information it delivers on such a tiny screen amazes me even more than it did when I first got it.

I love the iPad, but typing on the iPhone is much easier. And the ability to navigate the entire UI with one hand can't be emphasized enough.

It's funny. If I use the ipad for a while, I am remiss to pick up the iPhone and answer a text message. But if I use the iPhone for a while, I miss the simplicity when I switch back to the ipad.

YMMV.

no way its easier to type on the iphone than Ipad.

The fact that I can use two hands in landscape. I can type pretty darn fast.

Surely that falls on personal preference though. For some, pecking with thumb may be easier than finding a comfortable typing position for the iPad and "hovering" with your hands..

Maybe..

For me the biggest problem I have with typing on the iPhone is that the combination between the size of the keyboard, the screen real estate and how far in on the text it zooms is quite awkward. The actual typing, I find OK.

I email from the iPad as much as I can as opposed to the iPhone. My web use on the iPhone has also plummeted vs. that on the iPad.

I love both, but I do not understand how anyone can like typing on the iPhone more than typing on the iPad.

I couldn't disagree more.

My iPhone is now referred to as my iJoke.

Though not to the same extent as you, I do agree that browsing on my iPod touch while just laying on the couch just feels so much more tedious than on my iPad. Every page just feels incredibly constrained and the whole experience just seems like a mimicked, inferior experience. I know it isn't a fair comparison, but I can never see myself enjoying an iPhone over an iPad for casual browsing.

I also think it's easier to type on the iPhone because the only time I type better on the iPad is when I'm not holding it. Whereas I can easily hold the iPhone without stress.

For me it's the complete opposite. After using the iPad my iPhone feels tiny and inferior, which it is of course...
