Hello All,

I'm having a problem syncing my Texas Hold 'Em app that I bought from the App Store on my jailbroken 16GB 2.1FW 3G iPhone with my MBP. Basically, it starts syncing the app and then just gets stuck......argh!

I am currently running iTunes 8 and haven't upgraded to 8.0.1 yet since I'm a bit weary that I'll get bricked.

I'm wondering if this is a problem because my phone is JB'd, because I haven't upgraded to 8.0.1 or simply because there is something wrong with the app itself....anyone else having this problem?

Thanks in advance!

Upgrade to 8.0.1. It WONT brick your iphone. Then try and sync it. Is that the only app that does it?

Yeah, it's the only app that won't sync...I'll upgrade iTunes to 8.0.1 and see.

Thanks for the response!

Just upgraded to 8.0.1 and the Hold 'Em app still gets stuck and won't transfer...I may just have to remove the app...I don't understand why it won't sync...argh!

I'm not clear from your message if you bought the app on your phone, and it won't sync to your computer, or vice versa.

I've had this happen with some apps even when my phone wasn't jailbroken where I bought them on my iphone and they wouldn't sync to my computer. The solution was just to download the app into itunes, delete it from my iphone, and then do a sync. Note that the itunes store is smart enough to know if you already bought an app, so if you just "buy" the app again in itunes, it will tell you that you already own the app and just download it. If the problem is in reverse, i.e. you have the app in itunes and it won't sync to your iPhone, try just "buying" it again directly on your iPhone, and again it shouldn't charge you for it.

Also I was having problems with updating apps. I'd end up having to delete the app from my iphone before I could install an update. These problems all went away when I completely restored my iphone.

The first time that I jailbroke, I used PwnageTool, so I too, had to reinstall everything.

Incidentally, Texas Hold 'Em gave me trouble as well. I couldn't download it from the phone, or sync it to the phone, no matter what I tried.

The conspiracy theorist in me began to run wild with ideas that somehow Apple had sabotaged it.

I kept trying though, and I'm not sure what happened, but eventually it worked.
