I may be crazy here...but Im almost certain the replacement battery i got from the apple store today has a lower capacity from the original.
My story, 5 month old blackbook and coconut showed that the battery capacity was just over 50% after 280 cycles. Dont ask me how I had almost 300 cycles in 5 months. I had been worried about my battery capacity as the time started showing less and less very quickly, one day it would be 2.5 hours, the next 2.4 and when i got into the store max showed time up top would be like one hour 40 minutes.
So I went back to the apple store and told them my plight and they took my word for it and just replaced my battery on the spot. Now it is a slightly different black color than my blackbook currently, like it hasnt gotten oily yet from touching it. It doesnt look like it exaclty fits like my original battery either. It sits a little bit more recessed. Just enough to feel the lip all the way around. These are just fine with me.
My question is....if i remember correctly my 2ghz core2duo blackbook came with an original battery capacity of 5400mAh. My new battery that I got from apple today showes in coconut to have a capacity of 5200mAh. Can anyone either confirm this? Either way im really happy with the experience at the apple store today with the no hassle applecare exchange. Im just wondering if the original batteries were different/flawed.
