I am looking for an outdoor setup with a projector, an Apple TV and speakers. Now I’ll bring out my old HomePod but with the new beats pill being released this may be a better option. Has anyone tried pairing 2 of the new pills with an Apple TV and how easy is it? Without AirPlay I’m not sure if it will be as seamless as the HomePod.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

If this is just a temporary setup from time to time, any bluetooth speakers should be fine. If you want a more permanent setup, I suggest picking up some outdoor-rated speakers and finding a good spot for a "behind the outer wall" amp or receiver to power them.

People tend to think "down" (small) about outside speakers but with the open space of "outside", the better speakers are actually going to be big and capable of playing loud. So consider something suitable for a space with at least some "sides" having no walls at all. When one has to move the molecules of open air, they often need some meaningful power to succeed well.

Thanks for the reply. Just plan to use it for movie night in the yard, maybe big sporting events with friends over but not looking for permanent setup out there. Something that is easy to setup and take down.

Then I suspect your HP would do just fine... and you already own it.

But if you want to spend money on an outdoor bluetooth speaker with big sound, big bass, etc that should do that job well as well as any others "on the go," put a dual "pill" budget together on the JBL Boombox 3 or similar.
