As you can see from my signature I am now on the phone way to a new listening experience.
Sold my TEAC systems(2) and am now looking to listen to digital radio, ripped old CDs using the MBP as the source via external DAC on usb-c outlet into yet to be chosen over ear earphones & small bookshelf BT speakers when working.
Musical tastes very catholic (exceptions free jazz & folky stuff).
So for a small man-cave I need suggestions.
DAC+amp(usb-c feed), over ear headphones and powered pair of blue tooth (or whatever the Apple version is) speakers I can control from the MBP..
Disregard the 'HomePod'.
Budget is tight usual, <£500 total, but smooth, clear detailed sound is the goal.
Quite understand this is very personal and subjective so perhaps just kit you have used.
This is my final opportunity to get 'no upgrade necessary' setup as retirement has taken its financial toll.
Quiet isolation, good brandy and Vivaldi combine to form the best of evenings .
Thank you all in advance
