I updated my Blizzard Authenticator on my iphone (this is an authenticator that generates a code for an additional security layer for, example, your World of Wacraft account). The first time I ran it after updating, it popped up a warning about how running the application on 'jailbroken' phones increased your risk of security compromise. I did a double-take at first, "What? I haven't jailbroken this phone yet!" Then realized it was just a generic warning.
Still, I thought it was interesting. Has there been some word of people actually getting their accounts hacked in this way?
I have a currently non-jailbreakable 3GS (3.1.3 out of the box, sadly, from the store today), but thinking about getting a stand-alone authenticator fob if a jailbreak does get released.
On a tangent, if you do use the Blizzard Authenticator and switch iPhones (for example, I upgraded today), be aware that the new iPhone will get its own serial # and will no longer be sync'd with your account, even if you are restoring from your previous phone. I had to restore to my old 2G (I had wiped it for sale), log into account management with a code from the old app, remove the old authenticator, and sync up the serial # from the new iPhone's auth app.
If you forget to do this and get rid of the old phone, you'll have to contact Blizzard customer support to get your account unlocked from the old authenticator.
